Version 11 Change Notes
v11.0.2 Beta
New Features
Studio Colour Control
-
QuickQ v11 introduces a new colour mixing system for use in studios. This mode offers advanced control over colour temperature and green shift and allows you to limit the fixtures' colour mix system to a defined colour gamut such as sRGB or Display P3.
-
In
Studio Colour
mode the colour of the centre of the HS wheel can be set to a different white by using the colour temperature and green shift faders. The Saturation control will allow you to fade between your chosen white and a saturated colour. -
Pressing the buttons below the white point faders shows a popup which allows quick selection of preset white points, colour temperatures and green/magenta shifts.
-
Studio Colour
Mode also adds a CIE1932 chromaticity diagram showing the currently selected fixtures' colour gamut, and the gamut being controlled by the HS wheel. Click on the diagram to expand it, then click on the reduced HS wheel to bring it back.

v11.0.1 Beta
New Features
Better Control of Multifunction Fixtures
Some fixtures such as the Chauvet GigBar series have multiple moving heads within one DMX personality. QuickQ now allows the fixture to be patched once but enables individual control of the strobes, washes and other functions on the unit. The same system also allows individual control of RGB Plates and white strobes on fixtures such as the Chauvet DJ Shocker Panel FX and the Chauvet Professional Color Strike M.
The functions can be selected separately in the Layout Window and can be treated as separate fixtures. The functions appear separately in the Intensities Window and the Output Sources Window while the MFF faders will control all the currently selected functions of a fixture when in Fixture mode.
Record All by Default
Users who often use the Record All
option when recording cues will be happy to see a new option in the Settings Window, "Record All by Default". When this option is turned on and Record
is pressed the Record All
button will already be selected, saving time. When Record All
is selected the message shown in the toolbar changes to let you know what will happen.
All Emitters Colour Mix Improvements
-
The colour wheel Hue now rotates in the same direction as the Hue encoder.
-
The
DEF
button will attempt to set the fixture to D65 white. -
The
SNAP
button will match colours when different types of fixtures are selected. This will work better when the console has the emitter data for the fixture. It is not accurate when using CMY colour mixing or colour wheels.
