Setup and Installation

The ChamSys 10Scene Wall Plates can be used in conjunction with MagiCq, QuickQ or GeNetix Systems to trigger Scenes on the these devices. The QuickQ Rack, QuickQ DIN, MagicQ Rack, MagicQ DIN, MagicQ Compact Connect, MagicQ MQ250M Console, GeNetix GN5, GeNetix GN10, GeNetix GN10P, GeNetix GN10R and GeNetix Gateway all feature 10Scene Ports allowing the 10Scene Wall Plates to be connected directly to them.

10Scene Wall Plates can be daisy chained, with up to 10 connected in a chain per each 10Scene port on a device. For example the MagicQ Rack has 4 10Scene Ports on, so could support up to 40 10Scene Wall Plates with 10 each connected to each 10Scene Port.

When connected to GeNetix Nodes (GN5, GN10, GN10P or GN10R) the 10Scene Wall Plates can be configured to trigger Scenes stored on the GeNetix Device, swap between configs (Custom presets of the Nodes configuration) or run in Gateway mode which allows the connected wall plates to interface to a MagicQ or QuickQ systems allowing activation of Playbacks or Executes of these devices.

When Connected to MagicQ or QuickQ systems the 10Scene Wall Plates can be set to simple control of Playbacks 1-10 through to more complex setups with Zones allowing different Wall Plates to control differnet programming.

This manual further describes how to setup and configure 10Scene Wall Plates with either GeNetix, QuickQ or MagicQ Control Systems.

10Scene Wall Plates are available as the U.S. fit version (CS300054) or EU fit version (CS300055) and fits into a standard U.S. Single Gang or EU/UK Single Gang electrical back box respectively. 10Scene Wall Plates uses their own 10Scene protocol for communication between Wall Plates and the controller. The recommended installation cable to be used is standard Cat5e or Cat6 networking cable, the unit is not supplied with any cable. 10Scene wall Plates are powered over the 10Scene protocol, no external power supply is required.

10Scene Wall Plates can be daisy-chained together up to 10 per cable run. THe QuickQ Rack has 4 10Scene ports, allowing a total of up to 40 10Scene Wall Plates to be connected to the rack. The GeNetix Gateway interface has 2 10Scene ports, allowing up to 20 10Scene wall mounts to be connected to them. Multiple Gateways can be added to a MagicQ or QuickQ system allowing further 10Scene Wall Plates to be added to a system.
